Nine Fat Cats in Little Italy is part of a compilation of delightful poems from a book called "The Great Cat, poems about cats". The book was published by Everyman's Library Pocket Books, in 2005. It was given to me as a present and I like it very much.

The blurb on the cover says: "The Great Cat will delight cat lovers everywhere, celebrating as it does the beauty, the mystery, the gravity, the grace and of course, the superiority of the cat".

I like the fact that the poem contains lots of Italian words and it was good practice for me to read them out aloud.

Episode one of a real life event when heavy snowfall hit the Abruzzo region

Audacity took my mind off the snowy conditions!! I didn't need an Internet connection (which had been cut off by the heavy snowfall) so I was able to create a few podcasts about my daily life. This gave me the idea for a future podcast project where students can talk about their daily life / a story / an event.

Continuing my story of what it was like to be cut off and unplugged during the worst winter seen in Abruzzo for decades.

We managed to get our car to the top of the road, ready for departure. Snow had not been cleared and so I rang the Comune for help.
